It will be every Tues & Thur from 9:30-10:30am starting this Tues the 22nd at the stake center in the gym. She does an awesome total body sculpting with an aerobic warm-up. Hand weights, a towel or mat, and a water bottle are encouraged, as well as proper foot wear (she asks for no flip flops)
Kids are invited to attend and the play in gym alongside the moms. We have had problems in the past with kids getting on the stage or running through the halls - just make sure to keep an eye on the kiddos. This is a great class!
Now that we have this fabulous option, we are going to cancel walking group for the time being.

Aquarium Day

DSC_7666sm

Last week many of our sisters (and a couple husbands) met at the Aquarium with their children. We enjoyed a cool stroll through the many exhibits. The aquarium offered a couple of activities for the children including a coloring table to make your own sting ray-on-a-stick! Most of the kids were excited about touching a real sting ray and baby tiger shark! What an experience.

If you missed out this time, watch your emails for future plans. The sisters in our ward regularly attend park day, enrichment activities, and trips to the zoo and aquarium.

Water Barrels

As you know, we are asked to keep a supply of water for our families in case of an emergency as part of our food storage.
One option for storing water is to use a large water barrel.
The Torres' are going to put an order through for anyone in the ward that would like to order a 55 gallon water barrel.
All orders must be placed to Timaree Torres by 10 am Saturday morning, May 16th.
Since the price of the barrels will depend on the number of orders received, you will be given your total by that same evening, once all orders have come in.
Then you will have until 10am Monday morning, May 18th to turn in the money to Timaree, either cash or check.

The prices will be as follows:
If 1-9 barrels are ordered, each one will cost $70
10-19 - $60
20-49 - $56
50-100 - $53

So, the more our ward orders, the less each one will cost. Timaree won't know your total until all orders have come in.
Also available for sale with this order are the wrenches to open the barrels - either $16 /$14/ $13 (depending on how many are ordered)
and the pumps that attach to the barrel to pump out the water - either $14/ $12 /$11 (depending on how many are ordered)

Delivery of all items will be on Thursday, May 21st where you can pick up your order from the Torres' house.

Call or email your order (eric_timaree@yahoo.com)

Great Websites!

In the Deseret Book Spring catalog, there are two websites we thought were worth sharing.

http://www.ldswhy.com/

The first one is about a book called "Why? Powerful Answers and Practical Reasons for Living LDS Standards". If you have teenagers in your home or your calling is with the youth, this is a great tool. You will find hundreds of answers that reinforce the teachings found in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet.

http://www.gospellink.com
The second link is a wonderful tool for teachers. $4.99/month subsription to the entire Deseret Book online library. LDS.org, BYU.edu, CES and more! One month free trial offered!
